It is January 6th in the year 2013. 2013! That is unbelievable. I’m listening to Tame Impala’s “Feels Like We Only Go Backwards” and it is beautiful and I can’t rub the smile off my face. The song couldn’t be farther from my life. Everything is moving in a forward motion and it is exhilarating and exciting and ex ex ex. There were a few points when I felt like I was turning around and forgetting what life was really supposed to be all about. I feel so comfortable, a good comfortable, not as if I’m settling but instead I know I am making good decisions, the ones that will get me somewhere blissful. I’m in a sense of confidence, I’m pushing myself, I’m trying new things, I’m spending time with those that I love, I feel like I’m making a difference in lives. I have a huge sense of satisfaction. I have come up with the best mantra. Do what makes you happy. Why live according to others. Fuck that. I’m enjoying every second of my life right now and I deserve it. I gotta give back. I gotta make more art. I gotta keep standing up for what I believe, no matter how little I feel I’m impacting. I’m so relieved I’ve gotten to this point in my life. It’s only going to get more enjoyable. I love everything.
